Missing Jay Slater pictured at rave in Tenerife hours before he disappeared

A newly discovered image taken at a rave in Tenerife shows missing teenager Jay Slater hours before he disappeared.

The blurry image shows the 19-year-old apprentice bricklayer partying at the NRG festival on Sunday night, June 16. After leaving the event with two men she had befriended, she spent the night at an Airbnb in a mountainous nature reserve and disappeared. shortly after setting off on foot the next morning.




She later called a friend saying she was lost and her cell phone was about to die. The last live location of his phone was the vast Teno Rural Park in the north-west of the island at around 8.30am – and Jay, from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, has not been seen or heard from since.

Today, June 22, investigators were seen removing trash from the rave area. Police were joined by rescue dogs and firefighters as they continued to search for the teenager around Teno Rural Park, which is known to be dangerous due to rocky terrain and extreme weather conditions. Special attention was also paid to a river called Barranco Madre del Agua, at the bottom of a ravine, where staff with sticks carefully searched among fallen palm trees, the Mirror reports.

Jay’s mother Debbie Duncan, who flew to Tenerife on Tuesday, described the search for her son as “a living nightmare”. Speaking to ITV News, Ms Duncan said: “He’s the life and soul, he’s a beautiful boy.”

Jay was last seen by the Airbnb owner when he left the accommodation on Monday. He is believed to have missed the bus to reach friends in the south of the island, an area popular with British tourists. Ophelia, the owner of the lodge, said: “It’s dangerous to walk around here, it’s easy to get lost. He went up the road when I last saw him. He was alone. He was walking normally, although he was fast. .”
