Enfield masseur ‘preyed on vulnerable women’ and sexually assaulted victims in their homes

A masseuse who sexually assaulted clients in their homes has been convicted of voyeurism and other sex offences. Yuliyan Dimov, from Enfield, is said to have preyed on women while they were in a vulnerable state.

A woman reported being sexually assaulted during a massage at her home in November 2022. After she came to report Dimov, 45, officers visited other women who were dating him.

A woman had reported him the previous year, but he withdrew his support for the investigation. She got back in touch with the police after hearing she wasn’t his only victim.

Detective Constable Abigail Butler, who was the lead investigator on the case, said: “Dimov preyed on women who trusted him and were in a vulnerable state when he assaulted them. The great work the officers did to build this case is only overshadowed by the courage of the women who came forward.

In the police interview, Dimov denied all the charges. When his mobile phone was examined, more than 30 photographs of various women were found which had been taken without their knowledge when he visited their homes.

After contacting all of Dimov’s clients, several women who had been assaulted came forward to support the investigation. On June 15 last year, Dimov was arrested at Gatwick Airport while trying to board a one-way flight back to his native Bulgaria.
