Live updates as police seal off city streets

Part of a residential street has been cordoned off due to an incident with police.

There was a police presence on Morningside Road, Norris Green for several hours with part of the road closed.




Officers on the cordon were seen removing evidence from a property in a plastic bag.

Neighbors claim a person was seen with a machete

Neighbors say there were rumors of a person armed with a machete. We have contacted Merseyside Police regarding the nature of the incident

The scene has been in place for several hours

The cordon was reportedly in place from 3pm, with forensics and CID at the scene, residents say.
