Liam and Noel Gallagher ‘secretly booked’ dates at Wembley for Oasis reunion

Liam and Noel Gallagher have secretly booked three dates at Wembley for an Oasis reunion this year, it has been revealed. In early February, Liam, 51, said an offer had been made for the pair to tour but his older brother Noel turned it down.

However, sources revealed tonight that talks between the feuding duo have progressed to actual dates being set up which they have even arranged to perform together at the London Stadium on July 8, 9 and 10.

Unfortunately, the plan, which would have sparked excitement among millions of fans, failed. An insider told the Mirror: “An Oasis reunion has been hoped for years. This year would have been the biggest moment, 30 years since their debut album Definitely Maybe.

“But until now, no one knew how close Liam and Noel came to becoming a reality. They don’t get much closer than booking Wembley and their teams were devastated when it all fell apart again.”

“But the fact that they got to that point shows that there is a will on both sides. The hope is that it will be a case not of if, but when.”

The sibling feud, one of the most infamous in music history, began when the band broke up in 2009. In the February issue of MOJO magazine, Liam said: “Christmas? He doesn’t.”

“We put an offer on the table for an Oasis thing because we were offered, he said no. It was a big tour, a lot of money.”

In a candid chat, Liam Gallagher has revealed the origins of his infamous feud with his brother Noel, tracing it back to an incident at an Oasis concert in Paris in 2009. The younger Gallagher confessed to swinging one of Noel’s guitars ‘like an axe’ ” during an altercation backstage.

Speaking to The Sunday Times, Liam professed his love for Noel despite their differences, lamenting that there was “no need” for Oasis to break up. Liam has been on tour this month with his solo Definitely Maybe Tour, where he performs the iconic album in its entirety. Sources close to the star suggest she is still hopeful of a reconciliation, booking a seat for Noel, 57, at every show.

At a recent gig on his sold-out Definitely Maybe tour, Liam couldn’t help but comment on his brother’s absence, joking that Noel was “playing hard to get”. However, he hinted at a possible thaw in their frozen relationship, suggesting that Noel could be closer to arriving.

While performing in Cardiff, Liam performed Half The World Away, originally sung by Noel. He dedicated the track to his “little brother,” teasing the crowd with, “So I’m going to dedicate this next song to my little brother who’s still playing hard to get.”

He playfully added, “But that’s okay. Word on the street is that he was spotted in a really fancy chocolate shop, one of them Thornton buying some chocolate. So you never know! You know what i mean?” This follows Liam’s earlier statement. that Noel would “send him a box of chocolates” as an apology for being “really mean” during the band’s split.

Reps for both Liam and Noel have not provided a statement.
