Supercomputer predicts Man United and Man City’s final Premier League positions in 2024/25

The final positions of Manchester United and Manchester City in the Premier League for next season have been predicted by a supercomputer.

The top programs for the new campaign were confirmed on Tuesday morning. Erik ten Hag and Pep Guardiola will now both be busy with the new season starting in August.

United kick off the season on Friday 16 August with a home clash with Fulham at Old Trafford. The game will be shown on Sky Sports as part of their Friday Night Football coverage as the new season officially kicks off.

City will have to wait until Sunday 18 August to begin their title defence. Guardiola and Co. will travel to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the opening match.

With the season’s fixtures confirmed, a supercomputer attempted to predict what the final table would look like by the time the campaign ends in May. BonusCodeBets used a simulation to provide a prediction of the final Premier League standings and where both United and City will finish.

According to the prediction, City will win the league title for the fifth consecutive season and the seventh time during Guardiola’s reign. City are predicted to finish with 94 points, three ahead of second-placed Arsenal.

United were tipped to finish fourth in the Premier League next season with 73 points, 21 behind City. The prediction will help United secure Champions League football for next campaign – Aston Villa will finish third with 75 points.

City and United will meet in the Manchester derby on December 14 at the Etihad Stadium. The reverse fixture at Old Trafford will take place on April 5, although both fixtures may be altered due to potential TV coverage.
