An 80-year-old man dies in a car and tractor accident

An 80-year-old man has died after a car and tractor collided near Sherborne.

The crash, involving a white Suzuki Celerio and a blue New Holland tractor, happened on Grants Hill in Bradford Abbas, Dorset, at around 10.50am BST.

The driver of the Suzuki, a local man, was pronounced dead at the scene and his family have been informed, Dorset Police said.

The tractor driver was uninjured.

Police put road closures in place following the collision, but these have since been lifted.

Sgt Richard Stroud said police were investigating and urged witnesses and anyone with relevant dash-cam footage to contact the force.
