Mrs Hinch fans share ‘easy’ 10-minute yard cleaning tip – without a pressure washer

After enduring weeks of wet and windy weather, many UK patios are looking quite neglected.

With a heat wave forecast to sweep across the country next week, now is the perfect opportunity to get your yard or patio area ready in time for barbecue season and outdoor gatherings.

However, tackling tough stains, algae and moss from patios can often prove to be a difficult task. With this in mind, cleaning sensation Mrs Hinch has divulged her quick and easy approach to sparkling patio cleaning.

In the ‘Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips’ Facebook group, Elaine Chalk asked the question: “Best patio cleaner please?”.

Her query quickly received a flood of suggestions, but one product repeatedly recommended was Monty Miracle, the Express reports.

Georgia Ettridge enthused: “Monty Miracle is by far my favourite!” She continued, “…Then rinse it off after 10 minutes.”

Elaine Rider gave her endorsement: “The Monty Miracle Cleanser is the best. Honestly, it’s so easy to use and so fast. No jet washing, just spray, leave for 10 minutes and rinse with a hose.”

She went on to say, “You won’t use anything else. It was recommended to me and wow, I was amazed at the result. This is my yard before and after.”

To illustrate her point, Elaine shared a stunning before and after photo of her yard. The initial picture showed the terrace dirty with dark spots, while the later image revealed a transformation to an immaculate state.

Ms Hinch’s enthusiasts have shared their best tips for beautifying garden slabs, with suggestions ranging from Wet and Forget to bleach, Patio Magic, a pressure washer and soda crystals.

Christina McManus recommended: “I just did mine yesterday with Wet and Forget and they came out great, I left it on overnight and rinsed it off this morning.”

Ann Stanton advised: “If it needs a clean first, neat bleach, stiff broom, jet wash, then Patio Magic or Wet and Forget to keep it clean.”

In response, Ann Miles suggested, “Jet wash. Before buying one, I would empty a whole bottle of good bleach mix into hot water in a large watering can and wet each board. We just let it dry and hosed it down.”

Karen Sutton offered her method: “Soda crystals in hot water. Sweep stiffly and scrub and rinse.”

Wet and Forget has previously been endorsed by Mrs Hinch fans, who praised the product for being “easy to use”.
