Predicted Manchester United to face Arsenal

It’s the penultimate weekend of the Premier League season and Manchester United take on Arsenal, here’s our predicted line-up.

After losing 4-0 to Crystal Palace on Monday, the last team Erik ten Hag would have wanted to face was the Premier League’s top scorers.

Manchester United will have to come back and put in a better performance against a title-pushing side and they need to win here.

Things aren’t made any easier by Carrington’s ever-growing injury list, which saw Mason Mount return to the absent list this week.

So with that in mind, how will Ten Hag line up to take on the Gunners?

How will Manchester United line up against Arsenal?

So with injury strikes still preventing the Ten Hag from lining up as he would like, we can once again expect a weakened side to face Arsenal.

One position that will not be compromised though is goalkeeper, with Andre Onana guaranteed to start, although questions are being raised about his abilities after the goals conceded at Palace.

The full-backs will be Diogo Dalot on the right, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka remains on the right as he will be tasked with blocking Old Trafford-loving Bukayo Saka.

The centre-half still looks a little concerned that no one will return to that position. This means that by default it is likely to be Casemiro and Jonny Evans who start.

Moving to midfield, Christian Eriksen must be dropped and with Scott McTominay back, he should start alongside Kobbie Mainoo.

Ahead of the pivot, it looks like we will see Bruno Fernandes back in the squad after the Ten Hag admitted he is optimistic his captain will return.

Alejandro Garnacho reverts to his favored position on the right as Antony is dropped and then Marcus Rashford returns to the left.

Rasmus Hojlund is then the front man and will hope that a return to the first-choice attacking quartet also means a return to goals.
