Diego Llorente will leave this summer

Regardless of whether or not Leeds are promoted to the Premier League next season, one player is sure to leave the Elland Road side this summer.

The All Whites first need to understand which division they will be playing their football in in 2024/25 before they can make any definitive transfer plans.

Diego Llorente will leave Leeds for good this summer

Clearly, their budget will be much reduced if they play in the Championship, as opposed to the English top flight, and that could require them to drop more players from the squad than they would like.

However, as reported by Il Messaggero , Diego Llorente will join Roma regardless, after his release clause was triggered which ensured his loan would become a permanent move.

Earning £28,000 a week (Salary Sport), taking out Llorente’s wages will clearly be more of a help than a hindrance to the All Whites.

That’s because it will free up a bit more cap space, allowing Leeds to bring in another player or two.
