Dominik Szoboszlai was left visibly shaken as Hungary team-mate Barnabas Varga suffered a serious injury against Scotland. The Liverpool man could be seen ‘in tears’ and was pictured looking visibly emotional as his team-mate received medical attention on the pitch.

Varga was involved in a collision with Scotland goalkeeper Angus Gunn, who came flying out to try and claim an aerial ball. As he was attended to by the medical staff, VAR checked for a penalty in the background but ultimately ruled out the incident.

More significantly, there was visible concern for Varga among the players on the field. Szoboszlai was among the Hungary players who rushed and tried to rush the stretcher team to the incident, and members of both sides gathered around the stricken striker.
