The Red Devils are considering a move for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Manchester United are set to make a move for Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The 25-year-old helped Leicester to promotion to the Premier League, scoring 12 league goals last season along with his 14 assists.

He was one of their best players and his performances caught the attention of some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League.

With the Red Devils’ squad expected to undergo changes this summer, particularly in midfield, a move for the English midfielder makes sense for the club.

Leicester City’s promotion to the Premier League appeared to have ended Dewsbury-Hall’s chances of leaving the Foxes, however, the journalist revealed that he will continue to be targeted by other clubs, particularly Man United.

Jacobs told GiveMeSport:

“Manchester United are looking at a few names in that area. One is Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who is also on Brighton’s radar and could be available for £30-35m. Leicester were priced at £45m in January, and the compensation received for Enzo Maresca helps them to be a bit more optimistic in terms of PSR.

“But they might still need to settle, so we’ll wait and see if they get an offer for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. But the expectation is that he could be available on the market for a relative bargain as well.

“So keep an eye on Manchester United and Brighton there.”

The midfielder could be available in a deal this summer, but Man United face competition from Brighton to sign the midfielder.

Man United should not think twice about signing the midfielder

A midfielder of his quality who is available for just £30-35m is not a club idea to sign.

The Man United midfielder will most likely lose Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Sofyan Amrabat this summer.

The club should do all they can to sign Leicester City’s talented midfielder, who can deliver in the final third and produce consistent numbers in attack.
