Live: Two-vehicle accident blocks main road and causes delays

A two-vehicle crash blocked a major route through Cornwall this morning (Monday, June 24). There is slow traffic on the A390 in both directions between Hill Park Cresent and Tregongeeves Lane at St Mewan, near St Austell, following the crash.


Road and traffic monitoring website Inrix first reported the accident at 6.55am. It reads: “A390 both ways partially blocked, slow traffic due to crash, two cars involved from Hill Park Crescent to Tregongeeves Lane.”



It is not known how long the road will be closed. Emergency services have been contacted for more information.

The road has been cleared and traffic has returned to normal, the accident has been cleared on the A390 in both directions from Hill Park Crescent to Tregongeeves Lane.
