Barry Bannan hails Sheffield Wednesday’s ‘amazing’ job in launching 2024/25 home kit

Barry Bannan is preparing for a ninth season at Sheffield Wednesday after signing a new contract.

Bannan became one of the first players to put pen to paper this summer as he and Liam Palmer extended their lengthy stays.

With the pair linked, Sheffield Wednesday have been pushing hard to keep hold of the likes of Josh Windass and Di’Shon Bernard, but have yet to come to a conclusion.

However, their preparations for the new campaign continue to begin, having already made three new signings.

Danny Rohl’s time at Euro 2024 ended at the weekend, with the German set to return to Yorkshire in time for pre-season.

Meanwhile, the club have now revealed their new home kit for 2024/25.

Barry Bannan reacts to Sheffield Wednesday kit announcement

Rather than the players sporting the new threads, the Owls shared a video of various staff members wearing it – from groundskeepers to receptionists, cleaners to crew.

After watching the wholesome clip on social media, Bannan shared his thoughts on the “amazing” video.

He wrote: “What an amazing video of the backroom staff unveiling the kit. A team together.”

Another positive move from the Owls

While fan opinions of the kit varied, most were very impressed with their announcement.

The team will be ready to wear it during the pre-season campaign as they find out who they face in the first game of the Championship season in just two days’ time.

The kit announcement is just another hint of how tightly knit this club has become over the past eight months or so.

Everyone played their part in avoiding relegation and everyone deserves credit for that as the club head into the new season as one unit working together.

Supporters will now look forward to the new away kit, which had already been launched on June 22 this time last year.
