Lindsey Burrow was “determined” in updating Rob’s legacy with family “priority.”

Lindsey Burrow has opened up about how she and her children are coping following the death of her husband and rugby legend Rob Burrow.

Today on Lorraine, Lindsey Burrow joined host Lorraine Kelly live in the studio for her first interview since her husband Rob Burrow died three weeks ago after nearly five years of living with motor neurone disease. Sharing an update on how she and her family are doing, Lindsey describes how her top priority is her children and how she will continue to keep Rob’s legacy alive.




Responding to Lorraine’s question about how she is doing, Lindsey replied: ‘I’m fine thanks Lorraine. It’s been a tough few weeks but I know Rob would want us to be happy and I’m determined to make Rob proud and live off his legacy.”

She continued: “He may have been small in stature but he was a huge man and an incredible inspiration to us all. He had such an amazing career and then to be the face of the MND (Motor Neurone Disease) community in such difficult circumstances and for him to open his doors and show the world at a time when he was most vulnerable was a really thing. a brave and brave thing to do…Rob taught us so much.

“He taught us to be positive in his final message about being brave and facing our fears, Rob lived that with every word and will continue to live with us – he will be with us every step of the way.”

Describing Rob as ‘a devoted family man’, Lindsey said: ‘He adored the children. He would love to spend time with the kids and that’s what he lived for and I think the kids kept him going until the end. He did not give up until his last breath and fought a brave battle with MND and we are incredibly proud of him.”

Updating Lorraine on how the children are doing, Lindsey added: ‘They are good. In my role now, they are my priority and making sure they are supported through the pain. They are just incredibly proud of their father and the legacy he leaves behind. They are incredibly proud.”

Opening up about the outpouring of love and support for their family since Rob died, Lindsey said: ‘It’s been incredible. It has brought us solace in these difficult times and we have received so many special messages and just people reaching out. Rob was an inspiration to so many people and he showed us the way, he showed us how to be brave and how to be positive and resilient and that’s what we have to remember.”
