Leicester is set to be hotter than Ibiza tomorrow

Temperatures in Leicester are set to reach a high of 28 degrees tomorrow (Tuesday), the Met Office predicts. A yellow heat health alert issued by the UK’s Health Safety Agency came into force this morning and the hot weather is expected to continue this week.

On the other hand, temperatures in Leicester are forecast to peak this week on Tuesday, with temperatures dropping for the rest of the week. This will start on Wednesday with a forecast high of 26 degrees, on Thursday highs are again forecast to drop to 24 degrees, while on Friday and next weekend temperatures will again drop to 20 degrees.




Mark Sidaway, deputy chief meteorologist at the Met Office, said: “While we expect to see some very warm temperatures this week, it may not be the wall-to-wall sunshine and blue skies that people are expecting as it is likely to happen. be a cloud in places.

“Some areas, mainly central and eastern England, will see temperatures exceeding heat wave criteria. However, to be officially recognized as a “heat wave”, the temperature must be reached for three consecutive days.

“While we’re looking to enjoy some nice warm temperatures, the weather this week doesn’t look particularly exceptional or extreme.”

In Leicestershire, that temperature threshold is 27 degrees, so the county won’t be experiencing a heatwave anytime soon.
