Three arrested after domestic incident in Enfield

ENFIELD, CT (WFSB) – Three people were arrested following a domestic incident in Enfield Sunday night.

The police say that the domestic incident happened in the area of ​​Plop street at around 17:51

Before police arrived on the scene, the suspect fled the area on foot with his dog.

The K9 tracked his scent to a wooded area west of Gordon Avenue where they found the dog on the loose.

The suspect entered the Connecticut River and refused to return to shore.

The Enfield Fire Department used its marine assets to intercept the suspect, who again refused to come out of the water.

Units were eventually able to bring him to safety. He is charged with three counts of 3rd degree assault, 2nd degree breach of peace and interfering with police.

He is being held on a $50,000 bond.

While on scene, an officer recognized an approaching vehicle operated by 56-year-old Eileen MacDonald.

The officer saw drug paraphernalia in the car and ordered her and the passenger, Christina Cooley, 41, out of the vehicle.

After a search, police found 36.5 grams of fentanyl, 14 grams of cocaine, 25 packets of suboxone and over $200 in small amounts consistent with proceeds from the sale of narcotics.

Cooley and MacDonald were arrested and charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell. They are being held on $100,000 bond.
