Everton boss Dyche happy with win over Sheffield Utd

Everton boss Sean Dyche was pleased with the win over Sheffield United.

The Toffees won 1-0 thanks to Abdoulaye Doucoure’s first-half strike.

Dyche said: “Delighted with the win to be honest. It was a strange game really, I thought I was pretty decent in the second half but it kind of petered out. Another clear and another win, that was a big factor at the moment. season – the blank sheet and finding goals when it counts.

“The fans have earned the right to enjoy her, not just the team. The fans have rallied around the team and stuck with us through the tough times this season, not only on the pitch but off it at times. And I’m still It was nice for the players to be able to do a lap at the end to show their appreciation the players can enjoy it and they deserved it”.

On Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s assist for the winner, he added: “Very pleased, very pleased. Dom worked really hard again today, finds an assist and Douc is spot on. Some nice moments in the pockets but I couldn’t find .the next chance for another goal.

“Overall, I’m happy with the win and the fact that I showed that winning mentality.
