This year’s ‘India Week’ – a week-long series of events designed to support the growing bilateral relationship between the UK and India, kicks off this week in London.

Starting this Saturday (June 29), India Week is expected to attract over 100 business leaders from India and beyond, with opportunities for high-level networking, B2B meetings and interaction with senior decision makers .

A number of events take place throughout the week, with a focus on business, education and entertainment.

On July 3rd, an education innovation conference will be held at the University of Oxford, where educators from across India will come together to talk about the future of education.

Last year, over 30 Indian higher education and skills development leaders from India and over 90 of their UK counterparts gathered at the event. In the evening, there will be an awards function, recognizing some of India’s most innovative private sector educators.

This year’s event will follow a similar format, with over 40 educational institutions confirmed to participate.

On July 4, the Indo-UK Business Conclave Awards will be held at the House of Commons in London (by invitation only).

This event is designed to celebrate India’s successful start-up ecosystem and recognize leading MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) enterprises in India and Bharat, including from Tier II cities that are not otherwise recognized on global platforms.

The ‘Ideas for India’ conference is being held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel on July 5, as well as a shopping festival and fashion show, which will run until July 6. Guests who book to attend this free event can visit an immersive exhibition called ‘The Anand Brothers: A Journey Through Film, enjoy a live catwalk with the latest fashion trends and an exhibition area with over 50 shopping stalls, with lifestyle, fashion, jewellery, real estate and more from the UK and India.

Film fans can also enjoy a film conclave at the Royal Lancaster on July 6. It will consist of a conversation on Indian content and the business of entertainment, bringing together film production companies, distributors, content, creators, agencies and others in entertainment. supply chain.

In the evening, India Week will conclude with a black-tie gala dinner for over 350 guests, including celebrities and CEOs.

India Week is organized by the Economic Policy Group (EPG), which highlights India’s growing importance in the global economy.
