Delay warning for five-day long lane closure on main route to Nuneaton town center

Motorists are being warned of delays as a five-day lane closure is about to start on a major route in Nuneaton. Chilvers Rise, heading into the city centre, will be single lane from Thursday (June 27).

The closure will be in place from 8am to 4pm every day until Monday 1 July. Warwickshire County Council has agreed to the Severn Trent roadworks.

The lane closure is said to be necessary for utility repair and maintenance work. It’s one of several planned roadworks taking place in the city this week.
