Why isn’t Britain’s Got Talent on ITV tonight

Britain’s Got Talent fans hoping to get their fix tonight will be disappointed. The popular ITV show will not be airing in its usual Saturday night slot this week.

It is believed to have been pulled from the schedule to avoid a clash with the Eurovision Song Contest. Britain’s Got Talent, now in its seventeenth series, kicked off last month with a weekend double.

So far, judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and former Strictly Come Dancing favorite Bruno Tonioli have seen acts including singer Taryn Charles, a teacher who uses music to help pupils with special educational needs. The panel was also impressed by the Ssaulabi performance troupe, who showed off their taekwondo skills.

Despite the fact that there is no show tonight, viewers won’t have much to look forward to. The next episode of Britain’s Got Talent will be broadcast on Sunday 12 May at 7.40pm.

The Eurovision Grand Final in Malmo will be broadcast from 20:00 on BBC One. The UK entry is Olly Alexander, who will perform Dizzy’s song.
