And a source said the 56-year-old Elf star is set to fly to London for the May 26 game, where the winners will go up to the Premier League – if Leeds are in it.

They play Norwich City in the semi-final, with the first leg today away at Carrow Road and the second leg at Elland Road on Thursday.

The source added: “Will has already been bitten by the football bug and has been to several games in the UK.

“But a trip to Wembley would be his first time at the stadium, so he would love to come if Leeds can get past Norwich and experience all that English football has to offer.”

Will, who is worth an estimated £127m, is already a co-owner of Los Angeles FC.

Leeds manager Daniel Farke this week welcomed the news of Will’s involvement at the club.

He said, “We need every man; it’s always good!

“He’s a great actor and we’re all happy he’s on board.

“It says a lot about the caliber of the club. We have many famous and popular supporters.

“We are thankful and grateful for that because we need every man.

“This will make Messi shit his pants,” says Will Ferrell during LAFC’s new kit announcement

“But it’s up to the players to bring the success.

“We can’t work the ball over the line, so we have to make sure we get it over the line.”
