A&M’s Jim Schlossnagle doesn’t like questions

In the postgame interview session, A&M coach Jim Schlossnagle was asked “about the rumors going around today about a certain job.”

“I think it’s pretty selfish of you to ask me that question, to be honest with you,” said Schlossnagle, who has been at A&M for three seasons.

An annoyed Schlossnagle added, “I left my family to coach at Texas A&M. I took the job at Texas A&M never to take another job. And that hasn’t changed in my mind. … I understand you have to ask the question, but I gave up a lot of my life to come and take this job.
“I poured every ounce of my soul into this job and gave this job every ounce I could give. Write this down.”

Schlossnagle, 53, coached at TCU before coming to A&M and part of that time in Fort Worth was under athletic director Chris Del Conte, now in the same position at Texas.
