Copa America: Diaz helps Colombia win, Alisson keeps clean sheet

The Liverpool pair began their involvement in the tournament in the United States as Group D kicked off with Diaz completing the full game for his nation.

Colombia cruised to a 2-1 win over Paraguay in Houston thanks to first-half goals from Daniel Munoz and Jefferson Lerma, before Julio Enciso scored a consolation effort in the 69th minute.

Brazil, meanwhile, played out a 0-0 draw against Costa Rica in Los Angeles, with Alisson named in goal before keeping a clean sheet to secure a point for his country.

Colombia will return to action on day two when they face Costa Rica late on Friday night, while Brazil take on Paraguay in the early hours of Saturday morning.
