Rovers will face Exeter and Swindon in the 2024/25 Bristol Street Motors Trophy

Bristol Rovers have been placed in Group G of the Southern Section for the group stages of the 2024/25 Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

The Gas are one of 48 teams from EFL League One and League Two drawn into pre-determined groups ahead of Thursday’s draw, which will see one of eight teams from the Premier League Academies complete the group.

Matt Taylor’s Rovers have been drawn in Group G in the Southern Section and as such can look forward to taking on fellow EFL League One City of Exeter and the EFL League Two side Swindon Town in the group stages of the competition.

The final Group G team will be announced on Thursday and will be one of eight U21 teams from the Category 1 Academies.

Potential final opponents are: Arsenal U21, Brighton & Hove Albion U21, Chelsea U21, Crystal Palace U21, Fulham U21, Leicester City U21, Tottenham Hotspur U21 and West Ham United U21.

Group stage matches will commence from September, with the confirmed date and time for each match to be confirmed in due course.
