Otter Creek’s Brent Downs Named “Master Greenkeeper”

COLUMBUS, Ind. – Otter Creek Golf Course recently announced that Brent Downs, Director of Agronomy at Otter Creek and Harrison Lake Country Club, has become only the 90th person in the world to be certified as a “Master Greenkeeper” by the British and International Association of golf greenkeepers. (BIGGA).

Downs is now the 36th person to hold both the Master Greenkeeper and Certified Golf Course Superintendent classifications, two of the highest honors available to experienced golf greenkeepers on both sides of the Atlantic.

The Master Greenkeeper is highly respected in the golf world. This means that the keeper has achieved the highest level of professional expertise, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of golf course management.
