Hundreds of girls take part in Cornwall’s engineering careers festival

Caitlin Gould, head of TecGirls who organized the event, said it was “a game changer”.

“The energy, excitement and enthusiasm of these young girls was off the charts,” she said.

“It was incredibly inspiring to see them dive into technology and engineering with such passion.”

The day featured mock panels where the girls met female pilots and women working in aerospace and engineering.

Ms Gould said the festival was set up in response to Cornwall having some of the lowest participation rates for girls in technology and engineering in the country.
