Girl suffers life-changing injuries in Coventry after ‘falling from height’

A young woman suffered life-changing injuries after ‘falling from a height’ in Coventry. It happened yesterday evening (Monday, June 24).

Police were called to Holbrook Lane at around 5pm yesterday (June 24). Paramedics and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance critical care vehicle also attended.




Crews found a teenage girl, who has not been named, suffered life-changing injuries. She was rushed to Coventry University Hospital in Walsgrave.

Officers from the British Transport Police also attended the scene. Today, a spokesperson told CoventryLive that the incident is “not being treated as suspicious”.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a patient who had fallen from a height near Holbrook Lane yesterday (June 24) at 5.32pm. An ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance critical care vehicle attended.

“Teams found one patient, a teenage girl, who was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “We were called to Holbrook Lane in Coventry shortly after 5pm yesterday (June 24). Officers attended and a woman was taken from the scene and offered support.”
