New leaked image teases imminent release of Manchester City 2024/25 third kit

A new image has circulated on social media which appears to point to an imminent release of Manchester City’s 2024/25 third kit.

The launch of the third edition of the club by manufacturers and designers Puma will follow their recently released new home shirt, which paid homage to the ‘0161’ area code of the Greater Manchester region.

An official club statement at the launch said: “Designed with Manchester in its fabric, the light blue kit features 0161 threads in the trim – a nod to the club’s roots. (…) 0161 in Manchester is more than a dialing code.

“You’ll see it written on lampposts, printed on T-shirts and even tattooed on people. It’s a sense of what it means to be Mancunian – a sense of place, no matter where you are in the world.”

Manchester City have also confirmed that the new home kit will be worn by all the teams representing the club, including the Premier League and Barclays Women’s Super League teams managed by Pep Guardiola and Gareth Taylor.

Now, the latest release of Manchester City’s new kits appears to be just around the corner, with previous reports suggesting that the club’s new 2024/25 third shirt will be the same color and direction as their brown and gold away shirt in 2012/ 13.

It currently remains unknown when Manchester City plan to release their new third kit, however leaking information and images would usually indicate an imminent release.

Manchester City’s appearance as a world football power has excelled during Pep Guardiola’s tenure at the Etihad Stadium, with the club’s successes matching the rapid expansion of its fan base around the world.

Previous reports pointed out that Manchester City’s retail figures for the 2022/23 season have increased by 81%, while the 2023/24 home kit has outsold the previous season by 84% since it was launched on May 19, 2023.
