Staff at Barnet Hospital celebrated the third National Health Buildings and Facilities Day with all their colleagues on Wednesday 19 June.

The day celebrated Royal Free London’s service to properties and facilities and members of its incredible staff – including cleaners, porters, firefighters, security, central team, decontamination teams and catering staff.

To recognize his contribution, events were held within the trust. Staff were invited to come and meet colleagues from properties and facilities at roadshows with information stands held at Barnet Hospital, Chase Farm Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital.

Jeremy Sharp, director of properties and facilities at Barnet Hospital, said: “National Healthcare Properties and Facilities Day celebrates the hard work and commitment of all our partner teams and organisations. All of our colleagues take pride in the contribution they make to the patient experience and maintaining a safe and compliant environment for us all.

“The day allows us to shine a spotlight on all of our teams, many of whom work far from the front line and out of sight, yet their contribution is invaluable and essential to the smooth running of all our hospitals and associated sites. “
