Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier is said to be on the radar of Marseille this summer, who recently confirmed a deal to appoint Roberto De Zerbi.

Transfer business for Leeds this summer is likely to dominate what they do when it comes to investment, with the need to replace key players under Daniel Farke.

PSR also needs to be considered, with some players bought for shrewd fees now looking for significantly more value for the 49ers this summer.

A claim by French outlet A La Commanderie said Leeds stopper Illan Meslier is on the radar of Ligue 1 side Marseille.

The French outfit are rebuilding under new management this summer, with a deal announced this week for former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi to take over:

“Leeds hopeful Illan Meslier (24) and goalkeeper (Elia) Caprile this season at Empoli are two serious prospects for #OM this summer.”

Meslier is contracted to Leeds until 2026, meaning he is in the final two years of his contract at Elland Road.

The other player linked here is also a familiar name, former Leeds youth stopper Elia Caprile, who has gone from strength to strength in Italy since leaving the Albi without a senior appearance to his name.

Meslier might be worth cashing in on this summer

A top level goalkeeper can be the difference between some teams and you could say that was one of the key differences between Leeds and Leicester last season.

Meslier has produced some incredible moments for us that have kept us in some games and won us others, but he has been outplayed a lot of the time by his poor box-office distribution and command, as well as some outstanding goals allowed to between.

At 24, he has value that might be worth taking advantage of this summer, as it won’t cost much to upgrade him.
