In pictures: Summer is finally here as residents of the Black Country and Shropshire enjoy the sunshine

It was also time – after a wet and windy start to the month, the weather took a turn for the better. Summer could well and truly be here.

Our Express & Star photographers were also out in the sun taking pictures of the lovely people of our region having fun in the sun.

In the Black Country, children splashed around in Walsall Arboretum’s water playground and couples enjoyed a leisurely stroll through Brunswick Park.

In Telford, children enjoyed the splash pad at Southwater, while adults enjoyed the new Fairground bar.
