The West Yorkshire side will travel to Farke’s native Germany for a pre-season training camp.

Unfortunately for the supporters, however, they were unable to organize any matches that were open to the public.

In a statement posted on their website, Leeds confirmed: “Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond the club’s control, we have recently been informed that any friendly matches played in Germany have been ordered to be played behind closed doors.

“We understand that supporters will be frustrated by this news because we are the same as a club.

“We explored all avenues, but it was not possible to overturn this decision.

“As always, we would like to thank you for your commitment and dedication, but in light of the above, we kindly ask supporters who expect to see Leeds United in training or pre-season matches not to travel in Germany.”

Leeds went on to reveal that they have had “discussions” regarding matches being able to be streamed online in Germany.

Fans will have two friendlies in the UK to attend.
