Coventry school targeted as Apple MacBooks stolen in ‘break-in’

Thieves are said to have stolen a number of laptops from a Coventry school in a weekend break-in. Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School in Brays Lane was targeted on Saturday (June 22).

Windows were smashed during the break-in which took place between 12pm and 6am on Saturday (June 22). A number of Microsoft Surface Gos and Apple MacBook Airs were stolen, it is understood.




Staff said the break-in was “very upsetting”. Parents also expressed their frustration on Facebook, with many describing the theft as “appalling”.

West Midlands Police told CoventryLive they are investigating the burglary and urged anyone with information to call 101. Information can also be given to Crimestoppers.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “We are investigating following a burglary at a school in Coventry. Windows were smashed at Sacred Heart School in Brays Lane.

“If you were in the area at the time or saw anything or if you have dash or dash cam footage please contact us on 101 or Live Chat quoting crime number 20/524046/24.”

Stoke and Wyken Police told X: “Keep your eyes out! Potentially, they could be resold at local pawn shops or second-hand retailers. Please call 101 if you have any information in relation to this incident.”
