Did AGT just find its next winning dance crew? Watch Brent Street wow the judges in Week 4

After 19 seasons, you’d think so America has talent the judges saw it all – but you’d be wrong.

Tuesday’s episode, which marked the season’s fourth week of auditions, ended with a “very, very, very thrilling” dance number that Heidi Klum described as “something I’ve never seen before”.

The act in question was an Australian dance crew called Brent Street, named after the dance academy they hail from. Led by teenage dancer Zac Degersigny, the 28-member group (did we miss anyone?) performed a mind-blowing, syncopated routine set to “Hope” by rapper NF.

Dance enthusiast Sofia Vergara was also blown away by the audition, calling it “the coolest thing I’ve seen today.” She also dropped this astute nugget of criticism: “The beginning was spectacular… and the rest was as good as the beginning!” Thanks for that.

For Simon Cowellimpressive part of the audition was “less about what they were doing with them bodies and more about what they were doing with them brain”, calling it all “well thought out, creative and original”.

And then there was Howie Mandel. But wait, where did he go? His fellow judges looked around in confusion as he delivered his critiques seemingly out of nowhere…until he came out from under the table to slap his hand on the Golden Buzzer.

Did Brent Street’s audition blow your mind or would you have given the Golden Buzzer to another show this week? Read on for a breakdown of everything sent in week 4, then leave a comment with your personal favorites.

1. Dax Domino

After winning Fox’s Domino Masters in 2022, these two decided to try their luck AGT. And while there’s no doubt that this was an impressive performance, both in terms of physics and endurance, we’re not sure we’d pay to see it on a Vegas stage. But maybe that’s just us.

2. Daniel Simu

You want to talk about something we have not seen before? How about this human-robot dancing duo! Heidi’s attempt to have “X” out of the competition was as messed up as the act itself.

3. Flewnt and Inkabee

If there was an award for the hottest act of the night, it would go to Flewnt and Inkabee, a father-son rap duo from Australia. That kid can spit.

4. Hypers Kids Africa

They may not have won a Golden Buzzer, but this Ugandan dance team still left an impression on the judges. And that boy got some air.

5. Jo De Rijck

A mind-reading chick who can predict your deepest fear? The judges must have been too scared not to send this one, and they were right to do so.

6. L6

It was their late mother’s wish that this Filipino family sing at AGT on stage and we know she smiled at them throughout the performance of ‘All By Myself’. That said, we’re not sure Simon Necessary to step in and make them sing it a cappella. We were already very impressed, though not as impressed as Simon seemed to be with himself.

7. Maya Neelakantan

This girl’s guitar shredding skills are even more impressive when you remember that she’s only 10 years old, a fact that left the judges in awe. Never mind that this was her first time ever performing on stage for an audience.

8. Stephanie Rainey

This struggling singer-songwriter moved everyone with her rendition of “Please Don’t Go,” a powerful ballad she wrote about losing her grandson shortly before his first birthday. The only thing we we tried to hold back our tears.
