The Met Office’s official early forecast for Godiva Festival 2024

Summer is officially here and Godiva Festival 2024 in Coventry is fast approaching. Thousands of people are set to flock to War Memorial Park for the annual event from Friday 5th July to Sunday 7th July.

As preparations begin, all eyes will turn to the weather forecast. The weather has been blustery in recent days with temperatures reaching 27 degrees and revelers will want to know if there will be a drastic change to the dreary rain or if the sun cream will be handy.




According to the Met Office’s latest long-range forecast, from Saturday 29 June to Monday 8 July, changeable weather is “most likely” to prevail during the period when warmer, wetter weather from the south is “likely to be driven “. Temperatures are expected to be around “slightly above average,” the forecast says.

Many are expected to descend on War Memorial Park for the festival which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, with headline acts including Richard Ashcroft, Paloma Faith and Beverly Knight. Other artists include Sam Ryder, Wes Nelson, Lady Leshurr, Rishi Rich, the city’s The Primitives on the main stage on Friday night (July 5) and more.
