M25 lorry crash at Enfield leaves one person in hospital with serious injuries and 12 mile queues

One person has been hospitalized with serious injuries after a serious collision involving four vehicles on the M25 near Epping. The main travel route is closed from junction 25 to junction 27 due to the serious accident.

There are severe delays with a 12 mile queue anti-clockwise from Brentwood and congestion to Potters Bar at junction 24. The M25 was closed at junction 26 for Waltham Abbey from 5.30am and then from junction 25 just before 7:30.




In a statement, Essex Police confirmed that four vehicles were involved and that one person suffered serious injuries. They announced that the road will remain closed while the site is cleaned.

Essex Police said: “We were called to a collision involving four vehicles on the M25 at junction 26 clockwise shortly after 5.30am this morning (Wednesday 26 June). The officers intervened together with their colleagues from the fire department and from the ambulance.

“One victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening. The road closure remains in place while this incident is cleared and investigations continue.”
