The death of Sault Ste. Marie couple ruled murder-suicide, police say

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. — Police in Sault Ste. Marie ruled the death of a wife and husband last month a murder-suicide.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service says officers responded to a call on May 1st and found the husband and wife dead.

Police say the wife was found inside a home, while the husband was found dead in a vehicle outside the home.

They say an investigation determined that the husband first killed his wife by strangulation and then died by strangulation.

Police say the intimate partner violence case is considered an isolated incident.

They do not identify the victims.
