Welcome to the Chicken Garden… community cooperation… catch basins?

Leo Doucet — News from the Market

Under the “I can’t believe it” column“, apparently some people who read the article 2 weeks ago about changing the hours during the week for NORTHERN REFLECTIONS the store seemed to believe that since the store’s Sunday hours were not specifically stated, the store was closed on Sundays. SPIRIT! The article refers to changes for certain days, CHANGES TO STORE HOURS. There are no changes to NORTHERN REFLECTIONS Sunday store hours, they will continue to be open to serve their customers on Sundays from 11am to 5pm. To be clear, the NORTHERN REFLECTIONS store in Cornwall Square is open for business from 9:00am to 7:00pm Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm on Saturdays and 11:00am to 5:00pm 00 pm on Sunday.

Kabir and his team are ready to take care of you if you choose the menu to dine from. Welcome to the Chicken Garden team as the latest addition to Cornwall Square Food Hall

Did you know that Cornwall Market, as part of the Give Back to the Community program, works with local community groups and organizations to host their awareness or fundraising events here at the mall. As we have seen in the past, the mall is an ideal place for groups to showcase the services they offer to the people of Cornwall and the area or to hold a fundraising activity. Our commodity is space and we are committed to helping make Cornwall and the area a better place through a co-operative effort with local organisations.

Did you know that in the next 2 weeks Cornwall Market will hold its extension “CAN-AM SUMMER SIDEWALK SALE” from Tuesday July 2when until Sunday, July 13th. In addition to keeping you cool, come and check out the bargains you’ve got while shopping indoors in a cool, dry environment.

Did you know that this past week, Cornwall Market he had Capital Stean Clean come on site and vacuum gallons of sludge from catch basins in treads. What is a Catch Basin, you ask? As the name suggests, catch basins are part of the drainage system scattered around the property and their purpose is to allow water from roads on the estate or car parks to drain into these ‘catch basins’ and drain into the city drains. In a perfect world the water goes into the catch basins and goes away, however we don’t live in a perfect world so along with the water that goes into the catch basins, dirt, gravel, snow debris, small trash all go into the catch basins and after a certain period of time, the catch basins become clogged with all non-water material and must be vacuumed. Not an appetizing chore, but one that must be done. The time had come and the deed was done.
