Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash near McDonalds in Stratford

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured after a crash with a Vauxhall car in Warwickshire. Police said a Vauxhall Astra collided with a Triumph motorcycle on Birmingham Road at the junction with McDonalds in Stratford yesterday (Tuesday, June 25) at around 4.25pm.

A 50-year-old man suffered a serious leg injury. He received treatment at the scene before being taken to Coventry University Hospital in Walsgrave.



Police closed the road while they dealt with the incident last night. Detectives are investigating the run-up to the collision and have urged anyone with information to call 101. Information can also be given to Crimestoppers anonymously.

Sergeant Leanne Mason, from Warwickshire Police, said: “Our thoughts are with the motorcyclist who suffered serious injuries. I am appealing for witnesses to this collision to come forward.

“Also, if you were driving in the area around the time of the collision and have a dash cam, please check the footage in case there is any footage that could assist our investigation. Anyone with information or footage should call 101 quoting incident 286 of June 25.”

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at 4.25pm ​​to an RTC on Birmingham Road in Stratford. An ambulance and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended.

“Crews found a man with serious injuries. He received treatment at the scene before being transported to University Hospital Coventry for further assessment.”
