“America’s Got Talent” judge Howie Mandel hits the Golden Buzzer for the Brent Street Dance Team

America has talent judge Howie Mandel hit his first Golden Buzzer for Australian dance crew Brent Street during the Season 19 episode that aired Tuesday night on NBC.

On America’s Got Talent’s nineteenth season, there are more Golden Buzzer recipients than ever before. Besides Howie, his colleague America has talent judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara are each able to hit the Golden Buzzer twice, while host Terry Crews only had one Golden Buzzer to give.

Brent Street, a big dance crew led by 17-year-old Zach from Sydney, Australia, has won one of the nine Golden Buzzers to be awarded this season, and so the group will automatically advance to America’s Got Talent’s Live broadcasts beginning Tuesday, August 13 at 8:00 PM ET/PT on NBC.

Zach, dressed all in white, introduced himself to the judges as a soloist before the music started playing.

Zach danced with his lower body in a hole in a sheet, and as he sang, other dancers’ hands and heads came out of other holes. The crew then dropped the curtain completely and performed staccato and synchronized movements with energy and excitement.

“God, Zach, that was so interesting! I mean, you gave us more of your Australian friends, I guess!” Heidi said as the audience cheered for the stunning routine.

“That was a very, very, very interesting dance!” she added. “Nice! It was also something I’ve never seen before. Very entertaining and very well done.”

Sofia pointed out how the judges see “a lot of dancing”. America has talent — however, this performance was certainly unique.

“This is my favorite part AGTto watch the dancers and watch what people can do with their bodies,” gushed Sofia.

“The beginning was spectacular, and the rest was as good as the beginning,” she noted. “That was definitely the coolest thing I saw today.”

Simon went on to admit that not only was the performance physically incredible to watch, but he was also blown away by the routine’s choreography and storytelling.

“It was well thought out, creative and original. Even though there were a lot of you, it was almost like it was just one (person),” Simon explained.

“I guess it took months and months to prepare,” Simon added.

Zach confirmed that Simon was right, and then Simon continued, “I realize how much it means to each of you individually. That’s the kind of audition we love on this show.”

When it came time for Howie to speak his mind from the jury, he was nowhere to be found.

Howie’s voice was suddenly heard saying, “I thought everything you did was amazing. It was a surprise.”

Howie, who had been hiding under the judges table, started to come out and hit the Golden Buzzer.

Howie told Brent Street they were “amazing” as gold confetti fell from above.

“Brent Street, you just got the Golden Bell from Howie Mandel!” Terry shouted to the stage.

The following acts also received Golden Buzzer’s on America has talent this season: Argentinian dance crew Malambo Legion, comedian Learnmore Jonasi, goalkeeper and aspiring singer Richard Goodall, rock and soul singer Liv Warfield and actor Sky Elements.

All four judges have now hit at least one of the Golden Buzzers for incredible America has talent documents. Terry has already used his Golden Buzzer this season.
