Eze TALKS, Carvalho WANTED, Murillo BID, Yoro HOPE, Morton offer REJECTED

Here’s the Liverpool FC transfer round-up for Thursday, June 27, after another day full of rumors and reports.

The Reds are yet to formalize any deal but the links keep coming, with Eberechi Eze, Leny Yoro and Murillo among the latest names in the frame.

Guy for departures are Tyler Morton and Fabio Carvalho.

Liverpool open talks with Eze

Liverpool have contacted the representatives of Crystal Palace winger Eberechi Eze over a potential summer deal with Manchester City and Tottenham also interested.

That’s according to The Palace Way, who claim the ground is set for potential arrivals at Selhurst Park amid interest in Eze and fellow striker Michael Olise.

The Reds have been credited with Olise, but it looks like the winger will be on his way to Bayern Munich.

Palace are trying to protect themselves against losing their creative duo by making a bid for Club Brugge star Antonio Nusa.

Anfield Watch can also confirm that reports of a £60m release clause in England international Eze’s contract are untrue.

The 25-year-old scored 11 goals and added four assists in 27 Premier League outings for Palace last season and, like Olise, his output has really increased following the appointment of Oliver Glasner as head coach.

Carvalho wanted by several clubs

Liverpool manager Arne Slot faces a big decision this summer regarding one of the club’s best young talents.

Portugal Under-21 international Fabio Carvalho is at something of a crossroads. The young striker is set to return to Merseyside for pre-season training after a loan season split between RB Leipzig and Hull City in the Bundesliga in the Championship.

While his time in Germany was disappointing, his time at Hull showed his potential.

The 21-year-old has scored nine goals and provided two assists in just 20 appearances in the English second tier, raising hopes for his future at Liverpool.

However, his form on Humberside has not gone unnoticed. Clubs from at least five countries are now reportedly expressing an interest in the young midfielder, according to The Mail.

The report says Carvalho is “being courted by many in England and on the Continent”, with a “growing list of suitors”.

Clubs from England, Germany, France, Spain and the Netherlands are among those traveling, many of whom have qualified for Europe next season.

Former club Fulham, along with newly promoted Southampton and Leicester City, are among the English clubs linked with Carvalho since his loan at Leipzig was terminated in January.

The race continues for Murillo

Liverpool’s hopes of signing centre-back Murillo from Nottingham Forest have been strengthened with the Midlands club running against the clock as they face severe financial pressure.

For the second consecutive season, the club is in danger of breaching the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules. Last season, they received a four-point deduction, which seriously threatened their top-flight status.

Now, according to football financial expert Stefan Borson (quoted to Football Insider), Forest need to generate a £20m to £25m commercial profit by Sunday to address their financial deficit and avoid another deduction of points.

As a result, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side need immediate returns from player sales and hope to offload more fringe players in the coming days.

However, with the deadline approaching, key players such as Murillo or Morgan Gibbs-White could also be sold to meet financial requirements.

Murillo, 21, joined Forest last summer from Corinthians and has since become a crucial member of the team’s defence, making 36 appearances in all competitions.

But despite his importance to the Tricky Trees, the Brazilian defender could be sold due to his significant market value, which is currently at a minimum of £40m, with Murillo’s contract running until 2028.

Liverpool are known to be among the clubs monitoring Murillo’s situation closely, and a move could make a lot of sense given the team’s defensive woes last season, especially after Joel Matip’s season-ending injury in December.

Liverpool will not give up on Yoro

It’s not a foregone conclusion yet. In fact, Liverpool’s pursuit of Lille centre-back Leny Yoro has taken a new turn, despite Real Madrid appearing to have it all wrapped up.

As reported Anfield WatchThe Reds remain on hold on whether the 18-year-old French centre-back’s deal with the European champions will be successful.

Now, however, Football Insider report that Liverpool are still in active contact with the player’s representatives, despite the fact that the Lilla defender has already informed Real Madrid of his desire to join them – and agreed personal terms.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano went even further. Speaking to Playback, the Italian said three clubs had made direct contact “in the last 24 to 48 hours”.

“So Leny Yoro wants to go to Real Madrid, Leny Yoro prioritizes Real Madrid, Leny Yoro wants Real Madrid from October-November, it is not something new. But it depends on Real Madrid,” he said.

“If Real Madrid want to do the deal, Yoro will be their player because he wants to go there, no doubt. But if they don’t complete the deal, PSG, Liverpool and also Man United in the last 24-48 hours have called up Leny Yoro and confirmed their real interest.”

Leipzig’s opening bid for Morton was rejected

After enjoying a successful loan spell in the Championship last season, interest is high in Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton this summer.

The deep-lying midfielder made 41 appearances in all competitions for Hull City, scoring three goals and registering five assists as the Humberside side ultimately failed in their late bid to finish in the play-off places.

The Times recently reported that the 21-year-old’s form last season has attracted suitors from across the continent, including Sevilla, Feyenoord and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Now, German side RB Leipzig is apparently at the front of the queue.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, there have been “concrete discussions” between the two clubs, and Morton himself seems open to the idea of a move to the Bundesliga.

Plettenberg also revealed that Leipzig initially proposed a loan deal with an option to buy. However, this opening offer was promptly rejected.

While the Reds are open to a temporary move for Morton, their current reluctance to sanction a deal centers on the terms of the loan.
