Brent crude is trading at $85.11/bbl

Crude oil prices rose by Rs 13 to Rs 6,784 per barrel in futures trade on Wednesday as participants widened their positions on firm sight demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in July traded up Rs 13 or 0.19% at Rs 6,784 a barrel in 4,480 lots.

Analysts said increased betting by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trading. Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude rose 0.25 percent to $81.03 a barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.12 percent lower in New York at $85.11 a barrel.
