The Easyjet flight to Lanzarote was forced to divert after a “problem” with the plane

A flight carrying tourists from Liverpool to Lanzarote was diverted to London Gatwick.

EasyJet flight EZY3363 took off from John Lennon Airport at 19:11 last night (June 26) bound for Arrecife in the Canary Islands. However, due to a problem with the aircraft, it was forced to land in London.

The EasyJet website says: “We’re sorry your flight was delayed overnight. This is due to a technical problem with your aircraft that could not be resolved.”

The flight will depart later today, June 27, at around 17:00 with flight number 9363. It is expected to arrive in Lanzarote around 21:15.

It is not the first blow to tourists in the region this summer, with travel plans thrown into chaos during last Sunday’s power outage at Manchester Airport.

The disruption caused many flights to be canceled while others left the country without passengers’ luggage.
