The law firm is relocating over 100 staff to The Colmore Building

Kennedys has completed its move to The Colmore Building to strengthen its commitment to the Birmingham market.

The law firm established its Birmingham office in 2008 with an initial team of six. Since then, the office has expanded to a team of 108, including 12 partners.

It serves local and international clients with expert insurance teams specializing in medical, professional liability, motor, employers’ liability, public liability, property, energy, construction and local authority casualty.

As part of the company’s partnership with Every Child Online, the Birmingham drive saw nearly 400 IT equipment (including desktop monitors PCs and TV screens) donated to children and young adults across the UK.

Refurbished devices are distributed to schools, clubs, community groups, refugee centres, local councils and charities supporting under-resourced children and young adults.

Birmingham Senior Partner Eamon Mooney said: “This new space reiterates Kennedy’s commitment to the Birmingham market, which is home to the largest insurance institute outside of London. We are excited to offer colleagues a contemporary environment that accommodates hybrid working and also serves as a central and welcoming location for our customers.”

The office has new flexible work areas to support both collaborative and individual focus work, in addition to amenities including health and wellness services. The Colmore building is rated excellent by BREEAM, with 100% of the building’s electricity coming from renewable resources.
