All canceled and delayed flights from Manchester Airport on Thursday 27 June

Now that the summer season has started, the Euros are in full swing and the school holidays are just around the corner, it’s one of the busiest times for Manchester Airport. In May, the airport marked another record month with almost 2.8 million passengers traveling through the northern travel hub.

Around 100,000 passengers are expected to pass through the airport in the coming weeks as they head to Germany for the football, which could lead to another bumper month in June. While things go well most of the time, flights can be canceled or delayed for various reasons, as we saw over the weekend when a power outage caused major disruption at the airport.

A disruption occurred in the early hours of Sunday, leading to the cancellation of flights from Terminals 1 and 2 for several hours. Power was later restored, but it led to long queues and baggage pile-ups.
