Leeds playmaker believes he deserves to leave permanently after 2023-24 form, 49ers want £3m fee

Leeds United are closing in on settling the future loan move of Victor Orta, who left Elland Road using the Spaniard’s release clause following the club’s relegation to the Championship.

All eight played important roles in the relegation, but instead of trying to right their wrongs and help Leeds return to the Premier League, they jumped the gun. Some worse than others at this, like Max Wober.

He is one of three players yet to settle his future as he remains at Euro 2024 alongside Denmark’s Rasmus Kristensen. Confirmed offers have been made for Robin Koch, Luis Sinisterra and Jack Harrison.

Marc Roca is set to join that list with reports suggesting he could complete a £4.25m permanent move to Real Betis this week. Brenden Aaronson has made the surprise move to return to Leeds next season.

Diego Llorente is stuck in limbo as he remains on the books at Leeds

Meanwhile, Diego Llorente is left somewhat in limbo. Unlike the others, he actually left on loan in January 2023, but used Orta’s clause to extend his loan at Roma by a year last summer, since which he has played 54 times.

The Spain star has made over 40 appearances for Roma in the last term and was expected to join permanently given how important he has been to Roma and how he has convinced Daniele De Rossi.

There is an agreement between Leeds, Roma and Llorente to reach an agreement. But as time went on, Llorente lost hope of a deal and that led Leeds to drop their asking price to just £3m.

Llorente wants a permanent exit from Leeds and feels he deserves it

Now, a new update from Siamo La Roma who say Llorente has ruled out a third loan move to Roma. He wants stability for his family and will therefore join the Roma only permanently.

He is tired of staying on the books at Leeds and believes his form during the 2023-24 campaign in a Roma shirt is enough to warrant a permanent move. His agent spoke to the Roma hierarchy.

It remains to be seen whether the Roma decide to spend the necessary funds. One ace Llorente has up his sleeve in trying to get Roma to do a deal is that Roca’s Betis are said to be interested in him.
