Glastonbury Festival have been told how to avoid a £2.95 fee when withdrawing cash at the event.

Festival veteran Dan Thomas shared a helpful tip for festival goers looking to withdraw cash from a vent ATM. As the festival’s unofficial TikTok correspondent, he offered a wealth of advice for anyone heading to Glastonbury for the first time.




Dan is currently on site for the 2024 version of Glastonbury, providing daily vlogs to attendees and those watching the festival from home. In a post uploaded to his TikTok page on the first day of the festival (Wednesday, June 26), Dan revealed how punters can avoid being charged at the pop-up cash points around the first.

There are a number of ATMs around the festival site, located at San Remo, Pennard Hill Ground, Left Field, Meeting Point at the corner of The Bandstand and at the top of the Big Ground campsite near the Medical Center and Worthy Farm itself. .

Some ATMs charge a withdrawal fee of around £2.95. In his video, Dan said: ‘Glastonbury safety announcement. If you’re going to use these ATMs, don’t, they’ll charge you £2.95 for taking your money out.”

To avoid receiving a withdrawal fee, Dan shared a top tip to get free money. He continued, “Instead, go to Farmhouse and get your money for free.”

Most vendors, including food stalls, bars, merchandise tents and shops accept card payments. However, it is always advisable to carry some cash just in case.
