(Greg) Of Acocks Green. He passed away on April 19, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Catherine (Kitty), loving father of David and Karen, sadly missed by his grandchildren, family and friends.

Reception in Holy Souls Church, Acocks Green on Thursday 23rd May at 6pm. Requiem Mass on Friday 24th May at 11.30am followed by internment at Widney Manor Cemetery. Then refreshments at Our Lady of Lourdes Club, Trittiford Road, B13 0EU.

Passed away peacefully in the Alexandra Hospital on Thursday, April 18, 2024, aged 86. A service to celebrate Brian’s life will be held at Robin Hood Crematorium on Thursday 23rd May 2024 at 12.30pm.

John Dickson COE

Formerly of Knowle Solihull. He passed away on March 4, 2024, at the age of 76.

Michael Christopher (Big Chris) DEVLIN

Big Chris Passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 3, 2024 at the age of 72. He will be sadly missed by all his loving family and friends.

Requiem Mass to take place on Thursday 16th May 2024 at St Gregory’s Church, Bearwood at 12.45pm followed by cremation at Rowley Regis Crematorium at 2.30pm. Family flowers only please, but if desired donations to Birmingham Hospice.

Joe Flynn

Late of Monica Road, Small Heath. Loving husband of the late Ann, loving father of Brendan. He passed away on April 29, 2024, at the age of 92.

The funeral will take place at Yardley Crematorium on Tuesday 14th May 2024 at 1pm. RIP

Margaret Ann (Maggie) HEWITT (Cranmer)

(Cranmer) (Maggie) Margaret “Maggie” Hewitt entered the world on August 5, 1944 and sadly left us on April 4, 2024. Margaret will always be remembered and loved by her husband Gordon; her children Gordon, Marie, Sean, Jayne, Kirk and Dean and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Maggie had many accomplishments throughout her life, but in her words “Building a family is a great accomplishment” and it showed through her loving and understanding nature. Maggie and Gordon were blessed with 6 children whom she adored; Maggie was also a hands-on grandmother and loved spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Maggie was an Avon representative in Bordesley Green East and surrounding areas and through this she built many friendships and gained much respect in her community due to her kind and social nature.

Maggie will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love she shared and the joy she brought to the lives of family and friends. We will honor her memory by celebrating the beautiful soul she was and remembering how much she will always be loved.

Margaret will be greatly missed but never forgotten. RIP Margaret’s service will take place at: Yardley Crematorium on Tuesday 21st May 2024 at 12.15pm. Donations to Macmillan Cancer Research would be gratefully received.

James Michael (Jim) SMITH

(Jim) Passed away on April 25, 2024, aged 87. Much loved and missed by family and friends.

Always remembered as a character in The Bull Ring Markets. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday 22nd May at 10.15am at Olton Friary, St Bernard’s Road, Solihull, B92 7BL.
