Wakefield Library’s final 2024 summer reading event is set for Friday

Wakefield Library will be holding its final summer reading event on Friday, June 28 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

The event will feature Cheryl Payne as special guest reader. Wakefield Library Director Kim Orr shares more about the event.

The library will also do a craft with the kids, serve a light lunch and give the kids a free book of their choice. Payne will read the book Thunder Cake, which is about conquering a child’s fear of storms.
