The postcodes with the most XL thugs in Sutton

The viewer mapped approved applications for exemption certificates to keep a Bully XL dog by postcode.

Data from a Freedom of Information request shows that postcode SM5, which covers Carshalton, Eastern St. Helier and Middleton Circle has the highest number of approved applications for XL Bully dogs in Sutton.

The SM5 postcode had 49 approvals, ranking 318 out of 2,424 total postcodes.

The second Sutton postcode on the list is SM4, which covers Morden, Morden Park, Lower Morden and St. Heller.

SM4 was ranked #376 with 45 approved apps by XL Bullies.

SM6, which covers Wallington, Beddington, Hackbridge, Roundshaw and South Beddington, was the third highest Sutton postcode on the list.

SM6 came in at #424 with 42 requests to keep XL Bullies approved.

The SM1 postcode was the fourth highest postcode in Sutton, reaching 716, with 29 XL Bullies applications approved.

SM1 covers Sutton, Rosehill, The Wrythe, Benhilton and Erskine Village.

The fifth largest postcode in Sutton, with 20 applications approved and reaching 1,019, was SM3, which covers North Cheam.

In England and Wales it is an offense to own or possess a Bully XL dog without a valid exemption certificate.

It is also illegal to sell, abandon or give away an XL Bully dog.

Letting it roam free, breeding or using it for breeding or putting it in public without a leash is also an offence.
